Screen – Right
Dainippon Screen acquired SLM in July 2008 as part of the ongoing expansion of Screen’s direct imaging business. SLM now operates as an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary within the Dainippon Screen Group.
Since 1998 SLM and Screen have been jointly developing state-of-the-art high-pixel count light modulators for Computer-to-Plate and other high-speed laser imaging applications.
The acquisition enables SLM to capitalize on Screen’s extensive expertise in graphic arts, semiconductor, flat panel display, PCB and other electronics equipment. Screen fully supports SLM’s development and commercial strategies as well as their commitment to existing partnerships.
